Instagram #MiaItalia reaches 1000 entries + finalist announcement!

Last week, was an exciting week for bmibaby. Not only did we launch the brand new bmibaby Instagram feed, we also launched a competition on Instagram in partnership with local Instagram fan group, Igers Italia!

The idea behind the competition is that people use popular photo app, Instagram, to upload pictures which show exciting things to do in cities and bring our destinations to life. Italy was the first focus of a series of upcoming competitions and we have some exciting news…in the first week of our #MiaItalia Instagram competition, we have reached over 1,000 entrants!

Thank you for all your fabulous entries so far! We are pleased to announce that our first week finalist for #MiaItalia is taken by Adi Benveniste, @benvenadi on Instagram, and is pictured above. We felt the picture really stood out from the crowd and you agreed too – with the picture receiving 14 likes so far!

Adi Benveniste is our first of three finalists, with the next finalist announced on 4th August and the last on 11th August. An overall winner for the #MiaItalia competition will then be chosen from the finalists to receive a free pair of flights on the bmibaby network!

There’s still plenty of time to share your favourite pictures of Italy – to enter the competition, upload your favourite pictures, tagging them with #MiaItalia and #bmibabygram – it’s as easy as that!

After we have held the competition each month, as a thank you to all entrants and as a valuable Travel Guide for our customers, we will produce a fantastic guide to each destination using everybody’s pictures.

This month an album of Italian inspiration will be compiled and shared with bmibaby fans across our social networks! By using the entry tag, #miaItalia, consent is given to bmibaby use your Instagram image in bmibaby’s crowdsourced guide to Italy.

During mid August we will launch the second round of our Instagram competition. We will again be proudly partnering with Instagramers to encourage customers living in our destinations to get involved and provide glimpses into the places they know and love. With 39 destinations, all beautifully picturesque and unique it will be hard to choose the next country to discover and share on Instagram!
