What is Instagram?
Instagram allows you to add various filters to photos – making anybody look like they can take pro snaps. Everybody enjoys taking photos when they are out exploring Europe’s wonderful cities and as Instagram allows you to post to your Facebook, Twitter and Flickr accounts, it’s a great and easy way to share your holiday pictures with your friends. Here at bmibaby we want to take sharing to the next level and help our customers find new and exciting things to do in cities by using Instagram to bring our destinations to life.
Over the last few months we have held competitions in a number of different European cities, and this month we have been enjoying your images from Spain.
#MySpain
With your help we are on a mission to highlight beautiful visuals of the cities that bmibaby fly to and bring our destinations to life.#Myspain is now the fifth Instagram competition, following Italy, Germany, Holland, and Switzerland, and we continue to be amazed at your fantastic skills.
Once again the quality of your photos has overwhelmed us, and you made it incredibly difficult to pick a third finalist, but we have now come to a decision and are proud to reveal that @fedeguci’’s picture has been chosen as our last finalist! Congratulations, we loved your picture because of the way it captures the old Mediterranean architecture seen in many Spanish cities and towns.

bmibaby Instagram competition with Instagramers Madrid
We have been excited to see images entered not only from those of you in the UK but from residents of Spain too. We are thrilled to be working so closely with Instagramers Madrid- Spain’s official Instagramer group – thank you for your support, and to everyone from Spain who has contributed!

Vote for your favourite image
Now it’s time for you to help us choose which image of Spain to crown the best! The three finalist images for #myspain are now live on our Instagram feed and awaiting your vote. The vote will take place using the ‘like’ feature on Instagram.
The picture with the most likes will be picked as the winning image for #myspain and the lucky person who captured it will receive a free pair of flights on the bmibaby network. We will let you know who the bmibaby instagram community has voted the winner next Friday, 24th February.
Bringing bmibaby destinations to life using Instagram
Even though entries to our competition vote are closed, you can still submit your images of Spain to share with everybody! We want our photo sharing communities to live on to inspire you to see the best bits of the country you are travelling to. As with previous destinations, we will be producing a visual destination guide of all of the images submitted so far PLUS the guide will update daily, so if you still have images of Spain you wish to share, it’s not too late: continue to tag them #myspain and we’ll make sure they are included.
